Our Story
Dance Team Central was born out of a deep passion for dance and a desire to create opportunities for others to thrive. Growing up in a small town in Iowa decades ago, access to formal training, resources, or connections in the dance world was a distant dream. Rejections—whether it was not making the team or being turned down for gigs—were a constant reality. Yet, through every setback, the belief in the power of dance and the drive to keep moving forward never wavered.
Dance team offered me something truly unique: a space where I could gain confidence, build skills, and grow as both a dancer and a person—even without formal dance training. It became a place where I could find joy, community, and the foundation I needed to push past limitations. That experience inspired me to create Dance Team Central, a hub where dancers, choreographers, and coaches can access the tools, training, and inspiration to succeed, no matter their starting point.
More than just a resource, Dance Team Central is a community that empowers individuals to dream big, work hard, and overcome barriers in their path. We believe the dance team world is for everyone—not just the most technically gifted performers, but also those who want to develop confidence, build essential skills, and discover their potential in a supportive environment.
