candice agahan
Candice Agahan started her dance training at age three in San Diego, California where she attended The Element Dance Center and San Diego Dance Center and performed competitively in jazz, ballet, contemporary and tap. After studying architecture at Portland State University, Candice danced for the Portland Trail Blazers and was selected as a NBA All-Star Dancer during the 2017 NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans. Following her four years as an NBA Dancer, she trained and performed with Portland dance companies including Sirens Dancers and Lyfe Dance Company. Candice now teaches regularly at various Portland-based dance studios and choreographs for college dance teams and local artists. In recent years, Candice has helped co-organize Momentum Workshops, an annual event that highlights women and nonbinary movers while raising funds for the Rose Haven Day Shelter. Through this event and her weekly classes, Candice strives to help others grow their passion for movement and make dance accessible to everyone.
