Jackie's Story Continued...

Jackie went on to achieve that dream, dancing for the University of Louisville, an experience that changed her life and shaped who she is today. She understands firsthand that not every dancer comes from a background filled with extensive training or resources. Her own story is proof that success in this industry doesn’t require an elite background—just the right opportunities, a willingness to work hard, and belief in oneself.

Following college, Jackie brought her passion for dance and mentorship to Oregon, where she coached the Southridge Hawkettes to national prominence for over a decade. Under her leadership, the team became a fixture in the UDA National Dance Team Championships finals and earned numerous local, state, and regional titles. In 2016, Jackie was honored as Oregon 6A Coach of the Year.  During her time coaching, Jackie’s love for choreography truly flourished. Crafting routines and working closely with her team ignited a deeper passion for the creative process, ultimately inspiring her to pursue choreography full time.

After stepping away from coaching, Jackie began working with Tribe99 Choreography, an opportunity that broadened her reach and opened doors to work with teams and programs beyond her local community.  Building these connections and gaining new perspectives reinforced a long-standing dream—to create something of her own, Dance Team Central.

Today, Jackie focuses on building Dance Team Central while choreographing and consulting for high school, college, All-Star, and pro teams across the country. Her choreography has contributed to countless state titles and national awards, with routines showcased at top competitions such as UDA, NDA, DTU, Worlds, Summit, Jamfest, and WCE. Jackie’s talents have also extended to commercial projects with major brands, including Nike, Adidas, and the Portland Trail Blazers.

At the core of Jackie’s philosophy is a genuine passion for mentoring and empowering those in the dance team community—whether dancers, coaches, or choreographers. She believes that sometimes all it takes is being in the right space with the right people to unlock your full potential. Her creative direction, along with a focus on business and strategic growth, encourages individuals to break boundaries, redefine goals, and approach their craft with confidence and authenticity.

Jackie currently resides in Los Angeles, California, continuing her mission to open doors and create opportunities for dancers nationwide.
