Our Story
Dance Team Central was born out of a personal understanding of the challenges many in this industry face. Coming from a background without formal training, the dance team world became a space where I found the support I needed to reach my goals—where I was embraced, learned structure, and found an outlet for creativity and my energy. But I also saw the gaps in resources and training that I personally experienced—and that many others struggled with—when trying to level up in their roles.
Meet the Founder: Jackie Koegel
Jackie Koegel is an award-winning coach and choreographer with over two decades of experience in the dance industry. Her journey began in Iowa, with limited resources and few opportunities, where her high school dance team was her only opportunity to pursue her passion for dance. After not making the team her first year, Jackie’s determination and love for the craft pushed her to keep working. With the guidance of supportive coaches who saw her potential, she eventually earned a spot on the team—a pivotal moment that sparked her dream of choreographing and dancing at the next level.
